Context:
This week I continued establishing skills in the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite. This week in particular using Illustrator and understanding its features, tools and how to use it. I Chose to use illustartor as its industry standard software allowing me to gain the skills needed to produce content to a professional and industry standard level.
Research:
I chose to use Illustrator as it is industry standard software used by many and as I hope to pursue a job within the industry it is best that I know and am familiar with the software that I will be using. Furthermore, as it is an Adobe product it integrates well with the creative cloud suite and apps linked to it.
I used an adobe tutorial on their help site to give me some ideas and help me explore and further understand the further features.

Practical Skills:
This week I used tools like the Pen, shape, blend & text tools to create things like the town image. I also used some of the tools above to “cut out” shapes and then use those cutouts in other places to create a display of shapes clearly laid out and displayed.

As the week continued I used tools such as the shape builder tool, direct selection tool and curvature select tool. This allowed me to create more complex graphics and images like the logo.

Evaluation:
Overall this week I have learnt the basics of illustrator and how to use it. Overall im happy with the work however after these past few weeks learning and discovering the software I still find illustrator to be my least liked one as its rather complex.
For me this week the first shape building task was the one I felt best confident on and the blend task one. I Tried to make the most of class time by asking questions
