Week 4 – Photoshop Skills Build

Context:
This week I continued establishing skills in the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite. This week in particular using Photoshop to understand its main function, tools, features and how to use it. I chose to use premiere pro as it is industry standard software used by many. I chose to use premiere pro as it is industry standard software used by many. This week I had no set project so created a range of things.

Research:
I chose to use photoshop is its industry-standard software used by many, and it could be needed within a future job so it is worth knowing how to use. It also works well with the other elements of the creative cloud suite.

I followed tutorials that I Wass provided and found online to help learn and explore some of the features and tools that I was going to be using within the software.

Practical Skills:
This week I’ve been able to develop my photoshop skill and learn a few new ways of doing things. I Used tools like the Lasso Tool. Magic Wand Tool and the content-aware tool to remove backgrounds and resize and manipulate images. I also used brushes to create a photo to do with day and night.

The Original Image after I moved the images around to unscramble the puzzle
I Then used Filters to change the images and how they looked
I Then used Effects to change the ones I hand already done
We were then given a reference image and asked to recreate it using brushes
This image was created using layer styles by changing the settings on them to create the gel effect.
We then had to use tools like the content aware tool & lasso to remove the backgrounds and images to create one large image
This was the final Image I did and I had to remove the background from the burger image before adding git to the one with the people. To remove the background I had to use the lasso tool, magic eraser & content aware tool.

Evaluation & Reflection:
This week i finished all the tasks on time and think that it went well, I feel that i possibly could have changed the day-night one and made some improvements to it. I tried to use my class time as effectiovly as posibl;e my asking questions to staff dor advice and helkp with soem of the tools. You can create a wide range of projects on photoshop incuding grapics, image manipulation, posters and more.
