CONTEXT: This week i edited a match highlights package for the premier league. It’s aimed
RESEARCH:
Story: I Was given all the match audio and stats, I did read the stats to get an understanding of the game but there wasn’t really story research as such
Technical: I chose to use Adobe Audition to create it as it is industry-standard software and is most suitable for this type of project as it is easy to use but also has features and tools that allow me to work quickly and efficiently.
Stylistic: I Styled my Highlights similar to the other premier league ones
PROBLEM-SOLVING:
Problem: Adobe Audition Was slow at times.
Solution: I Stopped editing off my hard drive and did it all on my laptop and it ran faster.
Problem: Some of the cuts between the clips were harsh.
Solution: I Put crowd noise in the gaps to fill it and cover it up.
Problem: The Music was too loud at times and quiet at others overpowering other elements.
Solution: I Used the volume keyframes on the track to change the volume when needed
PLANNING & PRODUCTION:
PRODUCTION:
I Downloaded all the audio from the files given to us and put the first one of two into audition. I Then cut it down into what I needed for the highlights with moments like when they score or something big happens on the pitch. To do this I used the Razer Select tool to cut it up and the Move tool to put it into place.
Once i had all the audio from the games that I needed, I put it into an order and added some background crowd noise. This was used between each clip to give a bit of a break but also keep more of a football sound to it.
After this, I added the Premier League Anthem to it as that was specified in the brief as it’s a key thing for the listener.
In the end the final adobe project looked like this:

The Music on track 2 Is ducked so will get quieter after the start of the anthem, this is so it doesn’t overpower the presenter but also so that the listener can still hear it playing in the background
EVALUATION & REFLECTION:
WWW: I Quickly Edited The Audio To A High Quality.
EBI: I Went into more detail and ducked and raised the audio better when the commentator wasn’t talking.
WWW: I Successfully exported the Packages out of Adobe Audition and uploaded them to Spotify For Podcasters.
EBI: I Only Had to export it and upload it once, however, due to the export settings error I made it had to be done a second time as the first time I exported it as a MP3 However
WWW:I Solved all the problems that happened and managed to sort them in an efficient manner
EBI: The clips were timed better with the music/anthem playing underneath.
