CONTEXT:
I Am making a four-step video about how to create a good-quality video. It is for 16-19 year olds. This week I finished filming and editing the video.
RESEARCH:
Technical:
I Used Premier Pro for video editing as it is industry standard and included in the Adobe Creative Cloud, it’s the software I am taught here at the academy meaning I’m familiar with it, so in my opinion makes it most suitable for this project
Stylistic: The video style will be similar to the video below but aimed slightly more towards a younger audience.
PROBLEM-SOLVING:
Problem: My Premier Pro Crashed and I didn’t save it
Solution: There was a recently up-to-date version of the video that had been autosaved
Problem: The final video was exported in the wrong file format
Solution: I Re exported the video im the .MP4 Format then uploaded it to youtube
Problem: For some odd reason the video was zooming in during capture
Solution: In the edit i manually zoomed the footage in so that it looked the same the whole way though
PLANNING & PRODUCTION:
Most of the planning was in previous weeks, I Did however have to refer to past weeks to get ideas and help on how i was structuring the video.
PRACTICAL SKILLS:
For editing using premiere pro, I added all my footage in a rough order to the timeline then I used tools such as the Razor tool to chop footage down to remove unneeded moments. I also used the Track Select Forward Tool to move the timeline forward to add more footage where it was necessary. I added the background music and then ducked it using keyframes so that it didn’t overpower the voice and sounded clean.

This image shows the final timeline with the edits made in it.
Once I had finished editing I used Adobe Media Encoder to export my video into an .MP4 Using the H.264 Format in 1080P, As this is high quality, low file size and suitable for Online use whilst also looking professional.
