Context:
This week I carried on from last week where I created a music promo about Lizzo for Youth’s Choice which are a radio station for 14-19-year-olds based in London
Research:
I chose to use Adobe Audition to create it as it is industry-standard software and is most suitable for this type of project.
This project tells the story of Lizzos’s life and her music history and how she got to where she is today. I Used sites like Wikipedia, her website and fandom to find out information about her to help build the story and to allow me to know what songs and hooks to use and when (Links At Bottom).
I Have styled it around the youth’s choice audience as I fit in with that demographic and understand the group and what they want to consume, for style ideas I listened to promos I was able to find online in places like Soundcloud made by producers in the industry for ideas.
Practical:
To write my script I used the sites referenced at the bottom and wrote it in word I ended up having 3 versions of the script after consolation with staff and other students about this.
I then went into a studio to record my voiceover into audition and then exported it and uploaded it to OneDrive so I could download it on my laptop to create the promo.

I Used tools like the cut tool and used effects to process the VO To make it stand out and pop a little bit more. These effects include Multiband compressor, Dynamic processing and also then normalised out to ensure a similar level throughout. The voice and music have been made in this promo so that there is always something and it keeps flowing. To ensure the levels are similar I ducked tracks and reduced the overall track level. I also cut the song down to o be longer intro than the hook so I had to cut it down and remove lots of the other parts of the song. In the end, I ran it through the match loudness to ensure that the sound is a lot smoother and reduces its peaks and troughs
Evaluation:
In the end, I’m happy with how it sounds and overall the “feel” of it.I Originally exported it as a WAV But it was very slowly uploading to Anchor so I re-exported it as MP3, ran it through match loudness then uploaded it
