Context: This week I began creating my radio demo.

Research:

Story Research: I Looked into radio demos and how they should be structured by using these youtube videos and then expanding taking some mental notes on what to include in mine, I also used this website for ideas as well.

Technical Research: I chose to use Adobe Audition to create it as it is industry-standard software (1,2) and is most suitable for this type of project as its easy to use but also has features and processing tools that I need to be able to create a good-sounding voice and overall sound to the demo.

Sylistic: The presenter style should be similar to a Capital presenter’s with upbeat beds, happy and energetic presenting creating a good feel.

Practical:

To Create the demo I used my best moments and my favourite links from through the year and then put them together to create the final outcome.

To Get my shows I downloaded them from the website, listened to the links and then put the good shows into a multitrack session in adobe audition where I then cut them down further using the razor tool as I had 8 minutes worth of audio and my research showed I should have it around 4 mins. I then normalised them whilst also EQ’ing them. I Do this to make sure that my voice sounds “clean” and professional giving a good sound to the overall demo.

The First Minute and 10 show the process I did to normalise and sort the audio
