Hospitality POS

Concept

A till for pubs, bars, cafés and restaurants that runs on the tablets, phones and screens you already own, with kitchen screens and QR ordering from the table. Designed and ready to build with the right venue.

Concept design of the POS till screen, with drinks buttons and a table's order

This is a concept. The screens below are designs, not a finished product. I'm looking for a venue to build the first version with, so it fits how a real bar or kitchen runs from day one.

The idea is simple: a till that independent venues can actually afford and set up, with no long contracts and no special hardware. Orders, tables and tabs are shared live across every device, and the kitchen sees each order the moment it's sent.

How it would work

You'd tell me how your venue runs: your menu, your tables, where food and drinks are made and how you take payment. I'd set up the till, the kitchen screens and the QR menu around that, and adjust it as you go.

What it's designed to do

Tablet till

  • Menu buttons by category, with search and barcode scanning
  • Switch staff user in a tap
  • Discounts, notes, open items and voids
  • Send to the kitchen, save to a tab or take payment
  • Keeps working if the internet drops, and syncs when it's back

Taking payment

  • Cash with quick amounts and change due
  • Card on your own reader, recorded on the till
  • Gift vouchers
  • Split the bill by items or evenly
  • Print or email a receipt
  • Built-in card payments with a provider like Stripe or SumUp later on

Tables and tabs

  • A floor plan for each area: bar, lounge, garden
  • See which tables are free, seated, ordered or asking for the bill
  • Open tabs for groups, quiz teams and regulars

Kitchen display

  • Orders on a screen in the kitchen or behind the bar
  • Timers that show what's on time, due or late
  • Allergies flagged in red on the ticket
  • Separate screens for the kitchen and for bar and coffee
  • Bump an order when it's ready, recall one if you need it

QR ordering at the table

  • Guests scan the code on their table and order from their phone
  • Dietary labels and an allergy note that goes straight to the kitchen
  • Add to the table's tab, pay at the bar, or pay by card
  • Order tracking: received, being prepared, on its way
  • Staff can take orders on their own phones too

Back office

  • Menus and prices, with CSV import
  • Modifiers, floor plans, staff and devices
  • Your colours, logo and receipt message
  • Choose which payment methods you take
  • Reports and end-of-day Z reads
  • Publish menu changes to every till at once

Who it's for

  • PubsDraught buttons up front, tabs for quiz teams and a kitchen screen for food.
  • BarsFast drinks service, card on your own reader and tabs that follow the table.
  • CafésCoffee orders to the bar screen, food to the kitchen, and QR ordering from the table.
  • RestaurantsTable plans, courses to the kitchen with allergies flagged, and split bills.
